Platipus Records is one of those early ‘roots’ trance labels based in London, UK.
The early releases were almost exclusively limited to the label’s co-owner, Simon Berry, and his various projects, including Union Jack, Clanger, and Art of Trance. Later, the label included artists like Terra Ferma, Dawnseekers, and Quietman.

Their most famous releases were “Anomaly (Calling Your Name)” by BT and DJ Taylor, “Two Full Moons and a Trout” by Union Jack, and “Air” by Albion. Because of the success of “Calling Your Name” and “Madagascar” by Art of Trance in 1999, the label started to take on a more epic trance style, in stark contrast to their early releases of psychedelic and acid trance. They also featured many releases from Pob.

Today Platipus delivers releases on their 3 labels, including Platipus, Gekko and Platipus Euro.

While we’re no longer in the 90’s it was time to take a step into the digital era… Today you can buy all releases by Platipus Records and their sublabels in their brand new Digital Store. D-igital launched 2 new download stores last week.
First is Mothership Music, Claude Von Stroke his second baby. Classy tracks that divers them from their sisterlabel, Dirtybird.
The second store is for UK label Baker Street Recordings, founded by Holmes & Watz, otherwise known as Jacob Kelly and Paul Hardy.

D-igital already served the Simple Records - Simple Sounds CD store (Read more here) last year and today we are pleased to announce that the full store is now live.

Outside the Box Music is a label  run by dutch DJ and producer Eelke Kleijn. While Eelke is rather a young DJ in the scene he already gained much respect by the biggies such as John Digweed, Seb Fontain, Hernan Cattaneo … Nick Warren even choose one of his productions to feature on his latest Global Underground compilation ‘Paris’.
In  2006 Eelke launched his own label Outside the Box Music to reflect his taste in music, it includes releases varying from techno-edged minimal to funky progressive house. With over 10 releases so far, Eelke thought it was time to take another step and expand his label with a digital store. Starting today K-records will publish 2 RSS feeds.
After several years of informing their customers through the website only, it was time to take the new step and upgrade to a new channel. Their customers and visitors can subscribe to the “New Releases” or “Preorder” feed in order to stay updated with fresh and upcoming records or cds from withing their own newsreader.
